About

Keeping one eye open.

Once upon a time, I was born in the motherland. I’ve been here most of my life (that would be the US of A for all you international mugs out there). That’s all you need to know about me.

As for the verbiage, all of the stories you read here are true. Names of people and places have been changed to protect the innocent. And to protect me from the not-so-innocent.

Here are a few little blurbs people have written about this site:

Great and gritty blog from someone who really knows how to write and tell a story. This is a regular read for me.

Kimchihead dishes out pulp non-fiction. “Names of people and places have been changed to protect the innocent. And to protect me from the not-so-innocent,” Mr. Kimchihead writes. Almost all noir-influenced blogging blows, but this guy has the touch, on his snub-nosed keyboard.

His style is like the old gritty detective stories that you might associate with from the 1940’s. He’s very descriptive and the entries he posts are like stories all in their own. There’s a slight backdrop of insight and a lesson in each one. Some of the stories even pull at the strings of the heart.
